Ms. Carrie J. Brent

Ms. Carrie J. Brent, 72 of McComb, MS, peacefully passed away May 31, 2022. Ms. Brent was born January 18, 1950 in Pike County, MS. Carrie was preceded in death by her parents JC Brent and Annie M. Jenkins Brent as well as six (6) siblings. John W. Brent, Augusta Brent, Annie C. Zeno, James E. Brent, Helen D. May and John (Sonnyman) Brent. Her surviving siblings include one (1) brother, JC Brent, Jr. of Summit, Mississippi along with three (3) sisters: Katie M. Magee of New Orleans, Louisiana, Easter B. McArthur of Pearl, Mississippi and Emma L. Washington of Chicago, Illinois. A faithful servant at Spring Beulah Christ Holiness, U.S.A., Carrie served on the usher's board until her health started to decline. She was employed at Summit Plastic for numerous of years until the closing of the facility, McComb Electric for over twenty years and finishing her working career at First Baptist Church of McComb until she retired. Carrie leaves to cherish her memories three (3) children: Mesa D. Patterson of McComb, Mississippi; Oliver K. Garner of Chicago, Illinois and Leneka T. Robinson (Charles Robinson, Jr.) of Brandon Mississippi; along with five (5) grandchildren: Kendrick D. Garner of McComb, Mississippi; ShaDeboriah T. Johnson (Rochea Johnson, Jr.) of Brandon, Mississippi; Olivia N. Garner of North Lake, Illinois; Skylar N. Robinson of Brandon, Mississippi and Jusin O. Garner of North Lake, Illinois; and three (3) great-grandchildren: Roman L. Jaime of North Lake, Illinois, Carly M. Dishmon and Chancelor D. Johnson of Brandon, Mississippi. Carrie enjoyed family gatherings with her nieces, nephews, and cousins that stopped by to visit. During her younger years, she would get out in the yard gardening flowers or playing softball and kickball with the children, but as her health stated to decline, her love for country western television shows became her primary interest. She enjoyed having long conversations with her cousins Janice Turner Young, Beatrice Turner Martin and Martha Gutter. Her special niece, Laura A. May and nephews Steven Magee, Thomas May and Jeffery May was the highlight of her day when they call or even came for a visit. A Funeral service is scheduled to be held Sunday, June 05, 2022 at Craft-Dillon Funeral Home in McComb, MS, starting at 12:00pm. Elder Ulyses Brown will officiate the funeral service.
