Mr. Willie D. Caston Jr.

Willie Davis Caston, Jr. was born on June 26, 1955, in McComb, Mississippi. He passed away on March 08, 2022, in McComb, Mississippi. Willie is preceded in death by his grandmother, Hattie Barnes; his mother, Jane Barnes Caston; and his father, Willie Davis Caston, Sr. Willie was a member of World of Faith Love Center non-Denominational Church in Forest Park, Georgia. Willie attended Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business. In 1984, Willie started his own trucking company, Willie Caston Trucking, and eventually retired in 2018 after much success. Before Willie moved to McComb to take care of his mother's cows and property, he lived in Mableton, Georgia. Willie living in Georgia, Willie was an avid tennis player and he enjoyed hanging out with his buddies to play tennis and drink beer - they called themselves "The Gentle Mules." Every year, "The Gentle Mules" would have a Family Day in the park at Adams Park, where family and friends would gather and play tennis, eat great food, and drink beers, and it was always a great time for all. Willie was an avid sports enthusiast and remembered everything there was to know about any sport. He was always ready to argue with anyone who disputed what he said or thought about a particular team or athlete. Willie's memories will be cherished by his two daughters: Courtney Caston and Christina Sparrow; one grandson: Cayden Sparrow; two sisters: Frances Caston; one niece: Angela Pierce who was like a daughter to him; two great nieces: Rajanique Davis and Jalaiah Davis; and one great-great niece: Zhuri Coleman; and a host of other relatives and friends. A visitation for Mr. Caston, Jr. is scheduled for Saturday, April 09, 2022, at Craft-Dillon Funeral Home in McComb, MS from 11am until 12pm. Funeral services are scheduled for 12pm, Saturday, April 09, 2022, at the same location following the visitation. Interment will follow in St. James Church Cemetery located in McComb, MS.
